About Jim Pearson, James Morris Pearson

About Jim Pearson ( James Morris Pearson )

Jim Pearson owns a boutique-sized music studio (located on a 20 acre ranch 10 miles south of the beautiful and quaint town of Darby MT) and is a producer, composer, arranger, singer, songwriter, World-Class guitarist & gifted keyboard player nimble in numerous styles including Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country & R&B.

He began earning a living on stage at the age of 15 and by the time he was 19, his very popular jazz fusion band was performing with Ahmad Jamal, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Waltrous, and the Dixie Dregs (Steve Morse of Deep Purple).  Later, Jim toured all over the world playing guitar for such legendary artists as Edgar Winter and Isaac Hayes, and did composing and arranging work along side such award-winning greats as David Campbell (Tim Mcgraw, Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Evanescense, and the Rolling Stones), Peter Schless (On the Wings of Love, Rambo) and Mark Isham (Crash, The Black Dahlia, A River Runs Through It, Point Break, Reversal of Fortune, and Of Mice and Men).

Jim Pearson's guitar chops will bring to mind such legends as Eric Clapton, Santana, the Allman Brothers and Stevie Ray Vaughn while his beautiful keyboard melodies, which have been known to bring tears to even the most stoic people, will remind you of guys like Bruce Hornsby and Billy Joel.  Because Jim Pearson writes his songs using both the acoustic guitar and keyboard, his own tunes also encompass several genres and might bring to mind a diversified range of artists like The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Sting and Dave Mathews; Jim's voice, however, has the grainy, airy quality of Joe Cocker, Michael McDonald and Greg Allman---All of this mixed together with his West Virginia roots makes Jim's music very engaging indeed.

When Jim Pearson moved to Montana 10 years ago, he finally found the time and inspiration to add singer/songwriter to his bag of tricks, as well as build Halfabubbleoff music studio for producing other artists / songwriters, doing film scores, soundtracks, radio ads, etc...

Jim Pearson offers his recording studio guests a spacious, detached and very private 1000 sq.ft. guest home with the quintessential Montana Vibe and to-die-for views. It has 360 degree views of the gorgeous Montana mountains, forest, pastures and the "Big Sky" that Montana is known for.  The guest home is fully self-contained with it's own kitchen, dining area, sleeping area, TV area and bathroom---a perfect place for a couple or small family.  There is also an additional attached, fully self-contained one-bedroom/one bathroom guest home available to accommodate additional guests.  The property has approximately 8,000 sq.ft. total living space (including the recording studio and guest homes), so there's plenty of elbow room!
